Italian Football League Weekend In Review

On Saturday, defeating the defending champion Atalanta 2-1 thanks to goals from their reserve strikers David Suazo and Julio Cruz. Atalanta replied with a superb shot from Sergio Floccari who hit a right-foot volley from about 20 meters far to suggest that Inter goalkeeper Julio Cesar all ends.

At the beginning of the day, title rivals Roma had defeated a spirited side in Genoa Genoa by a last-minute header from Christian Panucci.

It was a good week for Roma veteran defender, as it was his endHeader, which in Scotland at Hampden Park and Italy has paid to 2008 euros. Fought on Sunday, AC Milan, Cagliari to overcome a very spirited side from the back to 2-1 with a special Andrea Pirlo free-kick that Cagliari goalkeeper have done, you should get better with.

Milan went behind within minutes after the start of the game throughout and they worked as their main playmaker Kaka seemed to be to have the consequences to and fro, traveled to Italy and Brazil, and plays2 WM qualifiers for his country.

The rest of the team seemed to be feeling their age as Cafu (37), Nesta (32), Maldini (39) and Serginho (36) can not be expected to play too many games of high intensity. It was nice to see Ronaldo in his first appearance of the season, and he looked thinner than he normally does.

Fiorentina wasted the chance to keep up with the title race by low Reggina 0-0 in a very dull game.

The only remarkable thing to report was thatFiorentina manager, Cesare Prandelli was to return home from the airport to be with his ailing wife, who, unfortunately, this morning.

Our thoughts are with Cesare Prandelli and his family at this difficult time.

Empoli and Torino played out a 0-0 draw as well.

Lazio, playing for the first time since the death of 1 of her fans, Gabriele Sandri was to death by a stray bullet shot by a policeman who beat Parma 1-0 with a late goal from Fabio Firmani. The fans showed theirDissatisfaction as they considered the government and the Italian FA to show preference by the postponement does not reflect how it was when a policeman was accidentally killed last year in Catania, through participation in the game 20 minutes after they had begun .

Udinese continued their impressive start to the season, defeating Siena 2-0 with goals from Italy internationals Fabio Quagliarella and Antonio Di Natale.

There were also wins for Napoli, Catania and Livorno won 2-0 on homefor the 1st Time this season with a 3:1-victory over Sampdoria. In the evening match, Juventus beat Palermo 5-0 club captain Alessandro Del Piero come from the bench to inspire his side with 2 goals and to support for Marco Marchionni.

Juventus already 2-0 by the time he came up with goals from David Trezeguet and Vincenzo Iaquinta. This was too much for impatient president Maurizio Zamparini, when he sacked manager Stefano Colantuono and replaced him with Francesco Guidolin, whois the acquisition of Palermo for the third time
